POSTPONED: Summer Jaguar Festival 2020

In response to the rapid development of the Covid-19 pandemic and after extensive discussions with the event’s venues and partners, the Jaguar Enthusiasts’ Club has taken the difficult decision to postpone the Summer Jaguar Festival, planned for 15-17th May until the weekend of 21-23rd August 2020.

Day tickets, camping passes and exhibitor bookings already purchased for the event at Newby Hall will be valid for the rescheduled date.

For accommodation booked with Warner Leisure Hotels at Nidd Hall as part of our weekend packages, those wishing to transfer their booking to the new event date will be offered the option to do so. Whilst Warner Leisure Hotels will do their best to offer guests equivalent accommodation to their original booking, the number of standard grade rooms available at Nidd Hall for the new dates may not match those of the original dates.
Therefore, where equivalent standard grade rooms cannot be offered due to availability, guests will be offered an upgrade to one of the luxury room packages at low cost. If this is not satisfactory, or if attendees are unable to make the new dates, then Warner Leisure Hotels will discuss the alternative options with you.

IMPORTANT: The Jaguar Enthusiasts’ Club asks specifically that, in the first instance, those booked to stay at Nidd Hall do not contact the club nor the venue regarding their weekend hotel package booking. Warner Leisure Hotels at Nidd Hall will be making contact directly with all those that have booked, as soon as possible.

Ray Searles, Chairman of the JEC said: “The wellbeing of our visitors, exhibitors and volunteers is paramount. Therefore, we have had to make the very difficult decision, in conjunction with Newby Hall and Warner Leisure Hotels at Nidd Hall, to postpone the event. This is an unprecedented situation and whilst we have done our best in negotiations with our partner venues, the situation is far from ideal, therefore we ask for patience and understanding during this difficult time.”

All day ticket and exhibitor bookings for the Summer Jaguar Festival at Newby Hall will be carried over to the new date. Additionally, booked options such as the Black Sheep Brewery Tour, will also be carried over to the new date, subject to availability. Full refunds will be issued to those unable to make the new dates.

The Jaguar Enthusiasts’ Club is committed to following the latest UK Government advice on events and public gatherings. Current government and public health advice states that all non-essential social contact with other people should be avoided for the foreseeable future.

Like many organisations, the club’s offices in Bristol are currently closed to visitors and much of the team are working remotely, so please be patient if calling the office or enquiring via email as the team are having to cope with a high volume of correspondence as a result of the present situation.

The Jaguar Enthusiasts’ Club wishes to thank all attendees for their patience whilst the contingency plans for this event were being put in place in conjunction with our partners and venues.

Agreed values

We have a number of highly-qualified experts who can inspect your vehicle prior to purchase and provide you with a full written report. In addition to their complete understanding of the mechanical and aesthetic aspects of vehicle inspection, they have extensive experience with the Jaguar marque which perfectly equips them to identify the unique requirements of specific models and years, something that is particularly important for older cars.

The cost of an inspection begins at £100, with the final figure determined by the time needed and the distance the inspector is required to travel. We can guarantee that your inspection will be cheaper than an equivalent AA or RAC inspection.

This small upfront outlay could save you thousands in the long term.

To arrange an inspection simply call JEC Head Office on 0117 969 8186 and they will provide you with details of your nearest inspector.

Also from our club HQ in Bristol we can give you an official valuation for insurance purposes. Our valuations are accepted by all leading insurance brokers and Companies.

GETTING STARTED

Jaguar Enthusiasts’ Club Insurance is designed specifically for members of the JEC. That’s why it covers JEC TrackSport events and offers cover for JEC Young Enthusiasts. Furthermore, the scheme recognises that members may have a combination of newer and more historic Jaguars and so the scheme caters for all, other individually or part of a multi-vehicle offering.

Club insurance doesn’t operate the way standard insurance does. While it does still take a vehicle’s mechanical characteristics into account, it also places a lot of emphasis on how the vehicle is used, cared for and maintained.

Club insurance also offers a host of benefits and products that you simply cannot get outside of membership of the JEC, such as member to member cover for example. This enables you to drive your friends Jaguars at regional meets, events and on tours with fully comprehensive cover and without the need to complete more paperwork or ring up and incur costs for adding named drivers.

This way, you’ll be comfortable knowing that you have a policy that fits your vehicle and your usage needs perfectly.
